Other Mobile Therapy Services

If at any time, I have reached capacity, and I'm unable to take on any new face-to-face clients or patients, I may refer you to this page of my website, to guide you towards finding an alternative service.

If this is the case, I am sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by my unavailability, and hope you can find another service that can assist you soon.

If you are in need of mobile physiotherapy during this time, or alternatively could benefit from mobile remedial massage therapy or exercise physiology, please see below a list of other services that may be of assistance to you.

If you are looking for telehealth physiotherapy, I may still have some time to be able to provide this.  Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Otherwise, I look forward to assisting you when I am able to resume accepting new clients or patients.

DISCLAIMER:
All the services listed below are simply passed on to you from my searches on the internet for mobile services that are capable of providing home visits in the southern Sydney area.
I have not necessarily had direct professional contact with any of these services myself, or heard how well they perform their services.
Please do not see the services on this list as recommendations over other services.
Please look further into these services before making your own decisions about whether they are right for your condition and circumstances.
Within each section, they are listed alphabetically.

The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) has a "Find a Physio" page where you can search by your location, and your preferred distance from that location.  Some of the physiotherapists listed there offer mobile services, but there is no choose-able category in the online form to search for domicilliary therapists directly.
https://choose.physio/findaphysio/
If you enter your location in the form, then use the "Refine Your Search" section to type "mobile" into the "Name of Practice" search field, you may find a mobile physiotherapist local to you.
However, sometimes results come up for physiotherapists in other states too, I think because those therapists have also offered Australia-wide telehealth services in their listings at the same time).

Physiotherapy tends to focus on rectifying injuries, diseases or other issues of specific physical body structures, such as the tightness of muscles, or the pain in joints.  So, physiotherapy may or may not be the best form of bodywork to aid your condition or injury.

Although physiotherapy may help to alter behaviours as a secondary outcome, behavioural management is not necessarily physiotherapy's primary focus.  It may depend on an individual physiotherapist's approach as to how much they focus on behavioural outcomes. Therefore, you may alternatively like to look into massage therapy or exercise physiology, each of which use either hands-on therapy or exercise therapy in different ways to have relaxing effects on well-being and stimulating effects on general health.

So you might like to consider investigating the following mobile massage therapy or exercise physiology services and listings as an alternative to mobile physiotherapy.

Mobile Remedial Massage Therapy

It is possible for massage therapy to be covered under your NDIS plan or private health insurance (if it is included in your Extras cover).

The following two mobile massage booking websites can provide therapists to all areas of Sydney.
And their websites indicate that, if you prefer a particular therapist in their team, you are permitted to ask that person to continue to visit you through that booking agency.

Mobile Exercise Physiology

Exercise Physiologists are often familiar with travelling to clients to provide their services.
Their fees can also be covered by NDIS plans and subsidised by private health insurance.
Five sessions per calendar year can be claimed through a Medicare Chronic Health Care Plan from your GP.

An accredited exercise physiologist may be able to use exercise for diversional, exertional or well-being outcomes.

For example, exercise could help you to focus on physical activities that could distract you from irritating triggers;
or it could assist in using up some of your physical energy so that you are more rested afterwards;
or the general health benefits of cardio and strength exercise may help you to metabolise food and medications more efficiently, feel more connected to your body, and help your neurological system to be healthier and calmer.
