FACE-TO-FACE CONSULTATIONS
Note: The fees in this section are for self-funded people, who may or may not have private health insurance.
Please see further below on this page for more information about claiming through your health fund, Medicare, DVA or NDIS; and information about fees for telehealth consultations.

Initial or Long (eg. Two Areas) Consultation - 75 minutes:   $175
This includes a comprehensive assessment, substantial time for effective therapy, as well as customised exercise prescription if required.

Standard Consultation - 60 minutes:   $150
After the initial consultation, any subsequent 60 minute consultation is classified as 'standard'. This will start with a concise review assessment, so that more focus can then be placed on ongoing therapy and exercise follow-up.

45 minutes:   $120

30 minutes:   $80

90 minutes or more:    $200 or more (POA)

At the start of any initial face-to-face session we will usually spend about 30 minutes discussing your past and current health, what your main goals are, what you expect from my therapy, and what my physiotherapy recommendations are regarding what I think will benefit you most, so that we can collaborate on a tailored treatment plan that suits you and assists you to advance towards your goals.

We will agree on
how much the treatments will cost before we start, as well as the likely frequency, length and terms of our appointments. We can set up a written service agreement if required. If necessary, we can negotiate flexibility in treatment costs, depending on your circumstances and according to what you've told me.

At each subsequent session, we will take the opportunity to review your progress since our last session, and adjust your customised treatment plan as required. If the reassessment or therapy goes under or over the agreed time, we may discuss a lesser or greater amended fee at the end of the visit.

- Payment Methods: Following your treatment session, you can choose to pay by bank transfer, credit card, cash or cheque.  I can offer Square, Osko, PayID or PayPal payment systems for your convenience at the time of my visit.

Alternatively I can email a PDF invoice to you within a day after the session.  The invoice will contain my bank details, so that you can pay online from your bank account within a 14 day period after you receive the invoice.

- HEALTH FUND Claims for Physiotherapy: Once payment has been received, a PDF receipt can be provided by email to enable you to claim through your health fund.  HealthArt Physiotherapy does NOT offer HICAPS claiming at this time.

If we have an ongoing arrangement of regular treatments, then invoices and receipts can be sent on a fortnightly or monthly basis according to your needs.

- MEDICARE Claims for Physiotherapy: If you have chronic or complex health needs that would benefit from physiotherapy, you can claim some or all of the physiotherapy treatment fee through Medicare if you have arranged a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (formerly known as an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan) with your General Practitioner (GP). Eligible patients may access Medicare rebates for a maximum of 5 allied health services (total) in a calendar year. The GP needs to have specifically stated my name and address (PO Box 327, Allawah NSW 2218) on the CDM Referral Form , and completed the form prior to me seeing you (Medicare doesn't allow it to be back-dated), for my services to be claimable. Depending on your financial and health circumstances, I may bulk-bill or charge a gap. If you would like to claim through Medicare, please discuss this with me prior to booking your treatment with me.  Read more at the Australian Government Dept of Health.

- DVA Claims for Physiotherapy: If you hold a Department of Veterans' Affairs card and have a referral from your GP, my visits to you can be claimable through the DVA. If you want to claim through the DVA, please discuss this with me prior to booking your treatment with me. Read more at the Australian Government Dept of Veterans' Affairs.

- NDIS Claims for Physiotherapy:  I am not formally registered with the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme), but I can still provide NDIS-funded services to improve your function and engagement if your NDIS funding is self-managed or plan-managed, with enough funding for Improved Daily Living or Core Support.

At present my NDIS physiotherapy service fee is $193.99 / hour.

Note: According to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2022-23 - effective 1 July 2022, the current price limit for "Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training - Physiotherapist" (Item Number 5_055_0128_1_3) is $193.99 / hr.

If you would like to claim through your NDIS funding, please discuss this with me prior to booking your treatment with me.

I am not permitted to provide services for you if your case is managed by the NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency). Read more at the NDIS.

TELEHEALTH  CONSULTATIONS
In light of COVID-19 and other virus restrictions and concerns, and also for those living in remote areas or have limited time or financial resources, I can provide initial and follow-up consultations via telephone or video-conference to assess your physical issues and progress, and guide you with exercise and rehabilitation that you can do at home or at your local exercise facility.

The charged fee for your session will be proportional to the time we spend online. Fees will begin at a baseline of $40 for a minimum 15 minute video or phone consultation, and increase by increments of $30 for each 15 minute period beyond that time.

Video or phone sessions are often shorter than traditional face-to-face sessions, and are less expensive in proportion to the time spent.

The reduction in fees from my face-to-face mobile service (see above) reflects telehealth's elimination of travel time and costs.

For example, a 30 minute telehealth session is $70, whereas a 30 minute face-to-face session is $80.
45 min telehealth = $100, 45 min F2F = $120.
1 hour telehealth = $130 , 1 hour F2F = $150.

What is Required: You would need to have a suitable mobile device, a reliable connection, a steady surface to place your device, and enough space and appropriate furniture / supports for you to move comfortably and surely, for each telehealth session to work smoothly.

How I Will Help: I would provide any necessary pre-written or in-session training, free-of-charge, to ensure that the sessions work as easily and as safely as possible.

Please contact me if you are interested in this Telehealth option to keep you moving and well while COVID-19 or other viruses are a concern, or if your health can be more effectively managed by remote contact.
